1) Horatio Alger Association Scholarship   edit scholarship

Deadline: October 15, 2017

High School graduate for 2018, demonstrated critical financial need (55,000 or lower adjusted gross family income) and a United States citizen. Students must be involved in co-curricular activities and community service. applicants must also display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity. 2) The AXA Achievement Scholarship   edit scholarship

Deadline: December 15, 2017

Scholarship applicants must demonstrate ambition and self-drive with outstanding achievement in school, community or work-related activities. Scholarships are in the amounts of $2,500,$10,000, and $25,000 to high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in school, the community or the workplace. 3) Various Scholarships
Deadline: Ranging from October 18, 2017, through December 1, 2017

There is a list of 10 scholarship programs that will give out more than one million dollars to students. There are various deadlines ranging from 10/18 - 12/01/2017 Please visit www.studentscholarships.org to apply.

 

4) Robert A. Cunningham Memorial Scholarship
Deadline: January 16, 2017

The Scholarship was created to recognize graduating, college-bound high school seniors who embody the spirit of volunteerism. The applicant must be a: College-bound, graduating high school senior with a strong academic record (at least a "B" average) and Primary member of GECU (students may join, if they qualify for membership) Applications must include: An essay, two letters of recommendation with at least one from an organization for which you volunteered, and an official copy of your high school transcript. All applications must be received at GECU by 5:00 p.m. on, or postmarked by, Monday, January 16, 2017. Applications are available in the Guidance Office.   

 

5) Martha Seward Rahfuse Memorial Scholarship   edit scholarship

Deadline: April 1, 2017
Requirements for applicants: A. Interest: Applicant must be interested in advancing his/her education. B. Selection of College or University must be accredited. C. Scholarship: Applicant shall have ranked in the upper 25 percent of the graduating class. D. Financial Need: Applicant shall be in need of supplementary funds to finance their education. E. Personal Characteristics: Applicant must demonstrate adequacy for an institution of higher learning, good character, and citizenship, seriousness of purpose and participation in school activities. Applications and Recommendation Forms must be picked up in the Guidance Office.  

 

6) Future of Assisted Living Scholarship
Deadline: December 31, 2017

Three $2,000 scholarships are available to students enrolled in a 2 or 4-year degree program at an accredited college or university. Each eligible student must submit a 500-750 word essay response to the question: How can your major of study improve the lives of seniors in assisted living facilities in your town? 7) Alpha Delta Kappa State Scholarship  edit scholarship

Deadline: February 15, 2018

The scholarship is available for an Ohio graduating senior with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 average. Applications and complete scholarship requirements are available in the Guidance office.

 

8) Middletown Community Foundation Scholarships

Deadline: February 14, 2018

The 2018 high school scholarship process is now open. We highly recommend that students submit applications well before the deadline, however, applicants are required to wait to send in their application until after they have received their grades for the first semester of their senior year. All application information must be complete by February 14th. By logging in, you can track your application to see what you have completed and what you still may need to complete before the deadline. Make sure that you use an email account that you actively and regularly check. This is the way you will be contacted by staff regarding missing items, interview times, awards and follow-up information. You will be required to answer essay questions. We suggest that you write the essays in a word processing program so that you can have them reviewed and edited, then cut and paste them into your online application in the appropriate space.

9) Northrop Grumman Engineering Scholarship 

Deadline: February 4, 2018

The student must be a graduating senior in the Spring of 2018 and plan to attend an accredited college or university as a full-time student in an approved engineering, computer science, mathematics or physics program. 3 Letters of recommendation: One from a principal, head of math or science department, and one from a teacher, employer or community leader. Applications should be accessed at the website listed above.

 

10) Ohio Oil & Gas Energy Education Program Scholarship

Deadline: March 1, 2018

Must be a U.S. Citizen - Must have a career goal in the crude oil and natural gas industry, or related energy field - Must be an Ohio resident or a student attending, planning to attend an accredited OHIO college, university, technical, or trade school. - Must have and maintain a grade point average of 2.5 or higher Completion of application, 2 letters of recommendation. Letters must be from a teacher, employer or other mentor figure, letters from family members will not be processed. Essay Requirement, transcript, and ACT/SAT test scores if applicable.

 

11) AAA School Safety Patrol Grant  

Deadline: March 28, 2018

Students who have been involved with the AAA Safety Patrol program are encouraged to apply. The grant is not limited only to students planning to attend a college or university. The grant money can be used for an apprenticeship program, enrollment in a trade school or participation in any other recognized program that will help students further their education following graduation from high school. Application and more information can be found in the Guidance Office.  

 

12) The William Squires Educational Scholarship   edit scholarship

Deadline: March 5, 2018

Eligibility is primarily based on financial need. The EFC on your FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR) must be less than $7,000.00 to apply. Applicants must know their career goal. Applicants must be highly motivated and have good character. Applicants must show academic promise, and have a minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA. Students should apply at www.wmdsquiresfoundation.org.

 

13) Alzheimers Foundation of America

Deadline: February 15, 2018

For Application and more information visit www.youngleadersofafa.org Alzheimer's disease doesn't just affect the people who have been diagnosed with it; it also affects their loved ones, caregivers and people of all ages, including children. Each year, AFA holds a scholarship essay contest which asks students to describe how Alzheimer?s disease changed or impacted their lives. Whether they've had a loved one with the disease, volunteered or worked as a caretaker or are just passionate about the cause, the next generation of leaders in the fight against Alzheimer's have a story tell. We want to hear it! All high school seniors who are US citizens or permanent residents and plan to enter a four-year college/university in 2018 are invited to take part in the 2018 contest. In 2017, AFA awarded $25,000 in college scholarships to students across the country through the program. In addition to the scholarships, the grand prize winner and runners-up had their essays featured in AFA?s Care Quarterly magazine, which has a national readership of approximately 250,000 people.

 

14) Hospital Auxilary Scholarship   edit scholarship

Deadline: April 1, 2018

Scholarships are available for individuals preparing to work toward an RN degree. There will be 2 scholarships awarded in the amounts of $2500. Requirements: 1. Completion and submission of the scholarship form by April 1, 2018. 2.Submission of high school transcript through mid-year. 3. Forwarding 3 letters of reference on behalf of the applicant to the Scholarship Committee no later than 4/1/2016 4. Letter of acceptance from a school with an accredited nursing education program. 5. Personal Essay/ statement of financial need, goals, personal qualities, and or experience, and level of ability (no obligation) to work part-time at McCullough -Hyde. 15) Virginia Budge Award for the Creative and Performing Arts   edit scholarship

Deadline: April 16, 2018

ELIGIBILITY: MUST be a student 12 years of age or older REQUIREMENTS: 1. Currently enrolled as a student in a Butler County, Ohio school, college, or university. 2. Four (4) Essay Questions 3. One (1) Recommendation from a current teacher/instructor in Applicant?s field of Fine Arts and to be included with complete application packet. 4. Finalists WILL be asked to submit examples of their work or perform for the Committee 5. Short Biography 6. COMPLETE PACKAGE OF ALL PERTINENT PAPERS MUST BE SUBMITTED AT THE SAME TIME IN 1 ENVELOPE. NO EXCEPTIONS DEADLINE: POSTMARKED BY MONDAY, APRIL 16, 2018 NO LATE OR INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED. 16) Alpha Delta Kappa Local Educational Scholarship

Deadline: March 23, 2018

Applicants must be a senior female and be an Education major. Applicants will be evaluated on academic achievement, character, original essay, completed application. Applications and guidelines are available in the Guidance Office.

 

17) Dayton Daily News Si Burick Scholarship

Deadline: March 9, 2018

Applicants must be a graduating senior with a minimum of 3.0 GPA, be accepted into a 2 or 4 year accredited college or university and plan to major in a journalism-related field, and demonstrate financial need. Scholarship recipients will also earn a paid internship at Cox Media Group.

 

18) Madison Athletic Boosters

Deadline: April 20, 2018

This scholarship is designed to recognize outstanding student-athletes from Madison High School. The Scholarship is based on service and leadership. Applications are available in the Guidance Office. Applications are due Friday, April 20, 2018, Please return completed applications to the Madison Guidance Office. 

 

19) Middletown Area Business Women's Club

Deadline: April 11, 2018

Applicants must be a current HS Senior with a 3.0-4.0 GPA for the periods covering 10,11, and 12th grades. Applicant must have applied to 3 colleges or been accepted to the college of his or her choice. The applicant must attend college as a full-time student. 2 letters of recommendation. Pick up the application and all criteria in the Guidance Office.

 

20) Altursia Club of Hamilton Ohio Foundation

Deadline: March 31, 2018

Altrusia is offering 3 $500 Scholarships to graduating Seniors in Butler County. 1: Must be in the upper 25% of the graduating class. 2: Must be of good character. 3: Must demonstrate leadership. Applications are available in the guidance office. Applications must be postmarked by March 31, 2018.
 
21) James. A. Combs Memorial Scholarship   
Deadline: March 23, 2018
The student must be a resident of the greater-Middletown area. 2. Must be accepted at an accredited 4-year college or University Applications are available in the Guidance Office. Two letters of recommendation are also required.
 
22) O.K. Klafter Nursing Scholarship
Deadline: March 23, 2018
Any student entering a nursing program; 1. must be planning on becoming a registered nurse 2. must be a resident of the greater Middletown area 3. must be accepted at an accredited 2- year school of nursing before the scholarship funds will be awarded or must be enrolled in a 4-year degree nursing program 4. the applicant must have a serious interest in pursuing a nursing career. Two letters of recommendation and transcript are required. Applications are available in the Guidance Office.
 
23) Edwin L. Pence Memorial Scholarship
Deadline: May 25, 2018
The Butler County Building and Trades Council will be awarding scholarships to Students at local High Schools in Butler County. Applicants must be college-bound, have at least a 2.5 GPA, and be active in their community. Applications are available in the Guidance Office. Applications are due by May 25, 2018.

24) Susan C. Richardson Memorial Scholarship
Deadline: April 20, 2018
A. Attended Madison High School continuously from grades 9-12 grade B. Attained a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA C. Must attend school of higher education within 6 months of graduation D. Must complete required scholarship application E. Must include an essay describing your future plans and how your Madison experience helped you on your journey Applications are available in the Guidance Office.
 
25) Madison Lions Club Scholarship
Deadline: April 27, 2018
Applications are available in the Guidance Office. Applicants must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA, a letter of recommendation, and essay is all required. See application for more details. Applications are due to the Guidance Office April 27, 2018.
 
26) The Cornett Theatrical Appreciation Award
Deadline: May 1, 2018
Graduating senior at Madison High School must be a Thespian or meet the requirements to be a Thespian. Complete a 500-word essay on how the theater impacted your life. Essays should be emailed to Mrs. Robertson by the deadline. Deadline for submission May 1st @ 9 am. 

27) MYAA Scholarship
Deadline: April 27, 2018 
If you have participated in the MYAA Program as a football player or cheerleader in grades 3rd-6th, then you are eligible for a $500 scholarship.  Applications are available in the Guidance Office and are due by Friday, April 27, 2018.
 
28) Miss & Mr. Springfest  
Ages 16-18 must participate in the Madison Township Miss and Mister Springfest competition. Applicants are judged on best personality and best attire. Applications are available in the Guidance Office.
