The Artists Expression at Madison High School
• Visual arts
Our district provides a comprehensive art program, which extends from early childhood through grade twelve. Music, (jazz band, chorale, concert band, steel band, guitar, and marching band), drama, and visual art courses encourage students to develop creativity and innovation. Additionally, Madison Local School District is supported by the Madison Association for Stage Kids (MASK), and by the Madison Music Boosters.
Our Visual Art students are recognized for their talents during the annual Spring Fest Art Show, National, State and in local juried art shows. Students have the opportunity to enter art contests that include Miamisburg Art Gallery, The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, The Governor’s Art Show, Middletown Art Center, The Middletown Arts Festival, and the Congressional Art Show. Students also have the opportunity to be involved in the Art Club.
The Madison High School Drama Club sponsors productions in which student learn to act, sing, dance, run technical equipment, design and create sets, stage manage and more, all while practicing cooperation, artistic expression and being a responsible member of a team. Students may earn the right to be inducted into the International Thespian Society and be recognized at the annual spring Induction Ceremony. In addition to 2-3 plays and musicals each year, there is an annual Junior High musical.
It is with great pride, we present to you the arts of Madison High School.
