Hi, my name is Valerie Jena. I am the high school world history teacher for Madison. I have been a teacher since 2009, and I began teaching at MJSH in 2011. I have a bachelor’s degree in secondary social studies education from Miami University. I became a teacher because I wanted to work with curious minds and help foster a love for learning. I am also the freshmen class sponsor, the junior high cross-country coach, and a junior high assistant track coach.

Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My hobbies include traveling, listening to live music, trying new things, and cooking.
